Auchinleck Tub-to-Shower Conversion

Next, the old shower valves are taken out while the drain stays right where it is, keeping the plumbing simple and efficient. A custom wall niche is framed in, with the final size decided on installation day alongside the tile expert.

As the new shower takes shape, sturdy concrete boards are installed anywhere tile will live, creating a solid foundation. Every surface is then sealed with a liquid waterproof membrane, protecting the space for years of daily use.

With the groundwork complete, a brand-new drain, rough-in valve, and trim are installed. Beautiful new tile rises from the floor to nearly nine feet high, turning the room into a bright, modern retreat.

The finishing touch is a sleek frameless bypass shower door in stainless steel or brushed nickel, bringing the entire renovation together with a clean, polished look.
